Winery Review: “Quite a lot of power here - this is
one for those who enjoy a Chardonnay at the oakier end of the spectrum! Ripe fruit
like pear, mango and hints of pineapple, mixed with baked lemon and grapefruit.
The oak contributes vanilla, bitter and coconut the spectrum of flavours, and
the overall feeling is one of richness and depth. Impressive.” – Good Pair Days
Wine Folly: “Primary flavors include green apple,
star fruit, pineapple, vanilla, and butter”
The only flavor from this list that I could taste is green
apple.
My Review:
This wine could be best described as basic. It smells very
grape forwards with hints of apple, grass, and citrus. The best part of this
wine was by far how smooth it went down the throat. This wine had zero bite and
no spice. The flavor itself was very basic however. It was very grape forward
and was actually a bit salty. In the end, if your looking for something a bit
more exciting this is not the wine for you. Overall, this wine was enjoyable
but nothing special.
Tasted on its own with no food, but with friends.
